I Believe in Pink

This picture was taken on one of the last days of my post-graduation trip, through Rome and the Amalfi Coast. The trip was straight out of a dream. ⛰🌤 Fun fact: my mom plans all of our family trips herself and has passed down the LOVE of trip planning to me. Now, I’m lucky enough that I get to plan trips all the time, both personally and for my job. 🤗 ⠀

#RealTalk: My weight, body, and how I feel about myself takes up so much of my thought space. As long as I can remember it’s been an ongoing nagging dialogue in the back of my head. When you’re only 5’ tall (though my license says 5’1” 😉) and gain weight, there’s not a whole lot of room for that weight to spread out and distribute. But, we can all pinpoint something to complain about with our bodies, right? ⠀

My last 10 days in Florida were filled with BBG and pickleball with the fam and long walks with our dog. I mediated and got a massage and drank lots of hot lemon water. It was the most I’ve had exercise in over a year. BUT I also had rosé and champagne and reallyyy good pizza and oatmeal cake and sticky buns. ⠀

Mid-way through, I took this photo, in which I look so H A P P Y. I don’t want to claim that there’s such a thing as a perfect balance, because there’s not, but I do want to advocate for doing everything you can to feel your best (you run that half marathon and start meal prepping better!), without getting carried away and sacrificing everything that comes along with living fully. ⠀
